How we test
We want you to know where every piece of information on frut.gr comes from. This page explains what we check, which sources we use — and what we do not do yet.
Two kinds of slot pages
Data overview. Most slot pages are currently overviews. They are compiled from the data the game’s provider publishes (RTP, volatility, max win, grid, bonus features) and from the HGC certification register, and they compare the game with others in our catalogue. They are labelled “Data overview”, have no score and never claim that we played the game.
Review. When we publish a review, it is written by a person who played the game. Every review has an author, a date, a score and, where we recorded it, how many spins the test lasted. We never machine-translate reviews: the Greek and English reviews are written separately.
Our sources
- Certification: the HGC public register of certified software (ΕΕΕΠ — Δημόσια Μητρώα). We only show games certified for online play, with their certificate code. You can check any game on “Is this slot certified in Greece?”.
- Game data: the provider’s published data, via the iGaming Tools data service. Every page names the source and the date. Where a value is missing we show “—” — we do not guess.
- Casinos: the HGC register of licence holders. We only list companies with a valid online casino licence.
What the numbers mean
- RTP: the theoretical return over a very large number of spins. An RTP of 96% means that over time the casino keeps about 4% of what is staked.
- Volatility: how much the balance swings. With high volatility wins are rarer and a budget usually runs out faster.
- Max win: a theoretical ceiling that is reached extremely rarely.
No number predicts what will happen in a single session. Gambling is not a way to make money.
How we score (reviews only)
The score (0–10) is the author’s assessment after testing: how clear the rules are, how the bonus features work in practice, and whether the experience matches what the provider states (for example, volatility). Scores are never influenced by commercial relationships. We have no commercial partnerships with casinos and receive no commission. If this changes, we will say so here.
Mistakes
Our data is refreshed regularly from its sources, but mistakes can happen. When we find one, we correct it.
